Help! My inverter doesn’t work!

There’s a few things to check to see if your inverter does actually work or if it needs to be replaced.

  1. Are the connections correct? We have seen many (really, a whole lot more than you’d believe) inverters that don’t work correctly because they aren’t connected correctly. You should always use the shortest length of wire as possible and ensure that all terminations are secured properly.
  2. Do I have the right setting? Most inverters have a switch or setting for ‘Manual’ or ‘Remote’ use. Check that the setting on yours is correct for how you are using it.
  3. Have you plugged something into it? Some inverters need to have the load from an appliance before they will start up, so plug something in and turn it on.
